La pérdida de tiempo esta dada por los objetivos que buscamos en nuestros grupos. Nunca, para uno, es pérdida de tiempo hablar de nuestro hobbies. Por Juan Del Pino

El título de este artículo ("Redes Sociales o Pérdida de Tiempo") nace producto de haber leído una crónica en donde a dos asiduos usuarios de Facebook les borraron sus cuentas producto de tener muchos amigos y demasiados mensajes.
Llevo ya mucho tiempo metido en los pc´s y navegando en la red. Su capacidad de organizar cosas, entiéndanse, eventos, grupos de amigos, conocidos, etc. es increíble. Les comento que he participado en varias listas, que es diferente a las redes sociales actuales en algunos aspectos. A ver, para aclarar un poco más, recorriendo todo el espectro de sistemas de organización antes teníamos:
- El simple correo electrónico, (en donde compartíamos inquietudes con amigos).
- El news (se publicaba un tema y todos vía correo opinábamos).
- IRC (ya un poco más en línea creamos canales orientados a un tema por supuesto por continentes, países, etc.).
- Listas de correo ( una versión un poco mas automatizada de los grupos en el correo electrónicos donde se crea una lista y a ésta se le adjuntan participantes y todos opinamos).
- Messenger no necesita mayores explicaciones.
- Twitter (mensajes cortos en línea, adictivo).
Ahora las redes sociales (esto a través del web, en donde frente a una página podemos ir generando contactos, yo diría un spam más evolucionado).
Bueno, en redes sociales:
* Bligoo (tener tu blog personal, integrado a grupos de personas).
* Badoo (permite ubicar personas o simplemente mostrar aspectos de tu vida).
* Facebook (sin comentarios, de mi punto de vista es un sistema de spam más evolucionado).
* HI-5 (compartir intereses)
* Sonic (compartir intereses y hacer amigos).
* Motigo (otro más).
* Rigo (éste me llamó la atención por que me llegó el mensaje que se cerraba, deja de funcionar).
Mi selección personal y donde me pueden ubicar es en Bliggo y Badoo... Facebook igual pero no es mi pasión, "puaj"...
No puedo dejar de mencionar, solo mencionar, que existe un conjunto de herramientas libres que permiten crear verdaderos portales de información, que son de otra categoría, en donde debe existir un usuario técnico que oriente "n" el desarrollo el portal y después los usuarios publican, ahí caben herramientas como dokeos, meboo, plancebo, jommla, php-nuke, drupal, wordpress y otros, que en manos de grupos organizados pueden y están permitiendo desarrollar y aportar al mundo información relevante. Bueno da para otro artículo, jejeje.
Bueno, ya tenemos una pequeña idea de que estamos hablando de diferentes herramientas que nos permiten entrar en contacto con otras personas de diferentes lugares y compartir alguna afición... interesante, entretenido, educativo, etc.
Sí, bueno; el término "pérdida de tiempo" en el título: sucede que muchos hemos pasado por etapas de Chat, en donde nos metemos demasiado a conversar en línea con quién se nos cruce en el camino, es lo mismo que pasaba con las radios de banda ciudadana en donde buscabas el contacto en un canal lo invitabas a otro y comenzaba la conversación que nos hacía trasnochar horas y horas y nos encontramos al otro día con que buena la conversación pero no nos dejaba nada de nada, en donde eran pocos los contactos que realmente realizaban un aporte a nuestro intelecto o a nuestra necesidad de aprender.
Volviendo al tiempo actual; muchas veces me he cuestionado el tener que estar en línea para poder discutir un tema me refiero al chat, es diferente estar en el en este sistema que contestar una lista de correo, uno responde el correo cuando tienes tiempo de revisarlo, en cambio el chat debes estar en línea para tratar el tema... eso producto de la vertiginosidad de nuestras vidas actuales. En el caso de las redes sociales nos encontramos con ambas situaciones, la posibilidad de estar en contacto en línea con nuestros amigos o asociados y así también la característica de dejar un mensaje para que lo respondan cuando estime conveniente.

La debilidad de estos sistemas es que no son nuestros y arbitrariamente nos podemos ver eliminados de estos sistemas quedando a la deriva, muchos de nosotros podemos estar entusiasmados con un grupo y de un día a otro nos encontramos con que ya no existimos dentro, producto de que el dueño, moderador diseñador del sistema por A-B-C motivo sintió que tocamos sus intereses o no aportamos al grupo.
¿Cómo solucionar esto? Difícil, la única forma es mantener una copia de seguridad de los contactos de nuestros grupos, eso no cuesta mucho, uno de los sistemas más estables a través del tiempo han sido los servicios de correo en línea Google, Hotmail y Yahoo, esto por supuesto para quienes usan estas redes sociales para actividades de organización de personas o instituciones... si solo son amigos de red en donde comentarás la novela del canal nacional no creo se justifique, pero quién sabe todos tenemos diferentes puntos de vista.
